The majority of this route is on County Rd 16, which becomes Forest Rd 270 in the south, between Stagecoach reservoir and CO 134 (paved). It provides a great gravel option to get up to Gore Pass (last few miles paved on CO 134). Forest Rd 206 cuts off some of the pavement, but may not be passable (see picture).
